 Chairman of the Board of Directors of IC “SMOLENTSEV and Partners”, Ph.D., Academician of IIA, Konstantin Y. SMOLENTSEV, and Partner at IC “SMOLENTSEV & Partners”, Regional Coordinator CERBA-Ottawa Anastasia Smolentseva participated in “The Russian Elections and their Aftermath: A Conversation with Piotr Dutkiewicz” event. Dr. Piotr Dutkiewicz is a professor of Political Science, Director of the Centre for Governance and Public Management at Carleton University, and a Member of CERBA’s National Board. He presented his analysis of what was discussed during the Valdai Club meeting held in November 2011 with the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and candidate for presidency Vladimir Putin, and what this might mean for Russia as well as its business & political partners in 2012 and beyond. The event gathered representatives from the Embassy of Kazakhstan, Embassy of Azerbaijan, Export Development Canada (EDC), Human Resources and Skills Development Canada, Railway Association of Canada, representatives of the Canadian businesses such as Nordion, and many more, as well as distinguished scholars. The event was organized by the Canada Eurasia Russia Business Association – Ottawa (CERBA-Ottawa) in collaboration with the Centre for European Studies at Carleton University.
