Practical Joke
I watched “Practical joke” performance with the National Artist of the Russian Federation Tatyana Vasilyeva, Nat. Art. of the RF Anatoly Vasilyev, Philipp Vasilyev, Daria Mikhailichenko and Andrei Butin.
From the announcement: "She is a singer of world’s famous name. He is the standard of failure. She has everything in life, he had nothing. She stops at the best hotels in the world, he sleeps on a park bench. She dresses from leading designers of the planet, he – in charitable second hand items. You know, I am sure that to do so it is necessary to implement a very simple idea into governmental politics. All regulation of economic activity should start from engagement in innovations, modernization and increasing competitiveness of manufacturing, which is much more profitable than exporting raw material and importing useless consumer goods. Concrete measures are easily deducted from this idea – under taxes, credits, legal regulation of the businesses’ activity, protection of property, etc. Here, in this blog, I try to touch on these topics almost in every entry. But the most important thing, I want to emphasize, is not in separate measures, but in unity, in those measures combined for favorable (profitable) economic climate for innovative development.

It is hard to object your opinion, Sergey Mikhailovich. Then there is another problem – how to carry all of that out? On February 15th, 2010 an interview was published in “Vedomosti” “Miracles are possible” with Vladislav Surkov, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the President of the Russian Federation, Vice-president of the Commission of Modernization. He ascertains that many initiatives in this sphere have failed. I see that myself as I work with companies in the direction of increasing their investment appeal and attraction of direct investments. Techparks are more often simply premises for tenancy …. Full profanation of an idea! Mr.Surkov says in the interview that “All over the world demand for innovations defines the state and large corporations”. And immediately ascertains that in Russia “They (corporations) are not customers, do not risk for the sake of creation of new technologies. There is customer that will say “I’ll take it!” No one wants the innovation. And the state cannot act as the universal customer… the state as a whole is not in a condition to even formulate a qualified order”. And makes a conclusion: “We need a new “German large village”,… “territorially isolated complex”? Realization of which would be “Almost handmade, unfortunately”. And that is with more than 100 million people and vast Russian spaces? What effect will it provide or even an impulse for the country as a whole?
What do you think about Mr.Surkov’s concept? Is it a draft of state policy in the sphere of creating competitive innovative economy in Russia?

Between the lines
“Between the lines” by J.L.Vishnevsky and M.Domagalik. Different feelings than from “Lonliness in the Net”. And not from Vishnecsky’s letters – that part exactly tangles with the “Lonliness…”. Probably, because of the dialogue with a Woman, and her vision of the world.
Sometimes, it is really hard for me to figure out a woman. And sometimes I can’t understand why can’t she figure me out??? Doesn’t understand my simple wishes, my hobbies, my “loud thoughts”? Doesn’t want to or cant? Neither, nor. We’re different… What’s good is that I am not alone in the world with such questions. The world is built this way. There are men. There are women. That gives hope :) So if the world is simply built this way, there is a chance.
Dear God! Give me wisdom and strength to get through this! Amen.

Uniting infinity
One of the most favorite movies of ex-Soviet people "Irony of life or S Lyogkim Parom" I was again (for a millionth time!) watched it with the Russophiles Circle – with a club of people, united to support, understand and create Russian culture. The movie was with English subtitles. I think it is unnecessary to remind that for the past 35 years this movie has become an attribute to the New Years celebration of the entire Russian speaking population of the world.
It was interesting to see reaction of French and English speaking viewers, who were watching the movie for the first time. Their emotions fully resembled the ones people who have watched this movie before many times – fascination! :)

Lucky guy! Or is it a sign?
During Christmas holiday I have bought a bottle of elite French wine in a liquor store. I decided to open it right away. I took off the plastic cover... and there was no cork!!! Went back to the store. The manager was really surprised. According to him, it happens one time in a million! So I started wondering. Am I a lucky guy? Or is it a sign?

Thought before Christmas
Before Christmas, it is always a time for thought, reevaluation of your actions, achievements (or changes?) of the past year...
Last year was very busy. Lots of events. Different ones. Some of them were good: I have achieved what I wanted for a long time. And had to do. Perhaps, it is one of the main achievements. Trials to change yourself... Surrounding me people are more aware if I did a little bit? It is understood, that path has no end, while alive, but I do wish it did...
A lot of things about myself upset me. Probably from there sadness of the past year comes.
I will try to change. Then the world will change too. Undoubtedly.

Big Hockey
Before Christmas I departed Russia with the flight as Vladislav Tretiak. Vladislav Tretiak lfew to North America to look for candidates for the Russian hockey Olympic team. My goal is less grandious – get pleasure from hockey matches with participation of Russian hockey players. I was happy for Russians yesetrday in the game of Ottawa Senators against Philadelphia Flyers. Anton Volchenkov has assisted goals, and Alex Kovalev – the hero of the game – has scored 3 times! Ahead – the Olympic games in Vancouver!
