Dr. Piotr Dutkiewicz is a professor of Political Science, Director of the Centre for Governance and Public Management at Carleton University, and a Member of CERBA’s National Board. He presented his analysis of what was discussed during the Valdai Club meeting held in November 2011 with the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and candidate for presidency Vladimir Putin, and what this might mean for Russia as well as its business & political partners in 2012 and beyond. The event gathered representatives from the Embassy of Kazakhstan, Embassy of Azerbaijan, Export Development Canada (EDC), Human Resources and Skills Development Canada, Railway Association of Canada, representatives of the Canadian businesses such as Nordion, and many more, as well as distinguished scholars. The event was organized by the Canada Eurasia Russia Business Association – Ottawa (CERBA-Ottawa) in collaboration with the Centre for European Studies at Carleton University. The goal of such memorandum – to organize CERBA's activity in the Canada's capital city of Ottawa.
