For the first time a World
Congress of the International Organization Development Association was held in
Russia in Saint-Petersburg with the help of Administration of President of
Russian Federation.
Congress was focused on a topical problem:
"Organization development: effectiveness through
innovations. Implementation of changes"
Why:
…Changes have become an integrate part of our life.
Not a single organizational process can avoid large-scale or small-scale
changes. Moreover, the environment makes us to change on a regular basis: to
monitor the environment market, to get "weak signals" and in this
juncture to change the strategic course, plans, structure, problem solving
approaches…
…Almost every consultant, expert, leader complains on
difficulties not so much during projecting of changes, as in their
implementation. Just here, at stage of implementation of innovations, main
points of lag, resistance and failures are being disclosed…
A wide and useful exchange of opinions, experience,
methods and practical elaboration of new methods of solution problems of
management and organization development was made on the forum.
Experts and practitioners, experienced consultants and
leading businessmen from more than 40 world countries took part in the work of
the World Congress. The Academician of IIA Konstantin Y. Smolentsev was a member of Russian
delegation.
Association of Consultants for Economics and Management
(Russia) was the organizer of the Congress.
This was the 18 th World Congress of the
International Organization Development Association (IODA). During last ten
years the Congress has been held in Chili, Germany, Thailand, USA, Kenya,
Hungary, Peru, Israel and Spain.
