| Jun 24, 2014 | | This past weekend we were driving towards a restaurant that serves natural and organic food with a three-year-old young lady, who is bilingual but understands four languages. All of the sudden, looking closely through the car window, she asks «Where is the [name of a popular fast food chain]?» My first reaction: «Do you like the [popular fast food chain]?» She replied calmly: «When I speak Russian, I like one. When I speak English, I like another».
So it seems like language is not just means of communication, but also an image a person takes on?

P.S. She only speaks Russian with me.
